How Misleading Are These Anti Wrinkle Cream Reviews?

Posted by admin | Uncategorized | Tuesday 30 October 2007 11:40 am

You have undoubtedly noticed mind-boggling competition within the skincare market. When you ran a search on anti wrinkle cream reviews and thousands and thousands of websites popped up offering their advice, you probably noticed that most of these famous mere marketing websites pushing their products. And while I don’t claim to be completely objective when I compare anti aging wrinkle cream, I thought a little practical common sense might help you find the truly good products.

Cheap is Cheap
Companies try to maximize their profits by looking for the cheapest ingredients and selling their product at insane prices. Sometimes these products advertise to “contain” expensive ingredients, but their concentration is so skimpy that it proves to be ineffective. So scrutinize these companies and see if they talk about the concentration of these active ingredients.

So what is a good concentration when you compare anti aging wrinkle cream? If a product has only a 1% active ingredient mix, how can that possibly work and what exactly am I paying for? I don’t know about you, but 50% sounds like a reasonable number to me. I would like to see these products have at least half of its ingredients being active in reducing wrinkles.

Natural versus Synthetic
Some of the cheapest ingredients these companies use are chemicals, synthetics and alcohol. As a whole, these ingredients are simply unhealthy for you. This should not be too surprising, as these skin care companies are more interested in quick results and not necessarily the health of your skin or body. Ironically, these products are only covering up wrinkles and lines and not really helping your skin to improve. They can also cause your skin to age faster – not exactly a good skin care product.

Companies that are able to use shoes products with ingredients that are organically based have a tougher task. They are able to manufacture safe and healthy products, but not necessarily effective in helping to reduce wrinkles. Just because a product advertises itself as natural does not mean that it will work. There is a science to extract the substances from natural products that will work in the anit-aging process. Look for companies that not only emphasize natural ingredients, but also the science behind why they work.

A Friend In Need…
All companies are looking to make money. However, only a few companies genuinely have their customers health as their top priority. Look for companies that have signed “The Compact for Safe Cosmetics” which can be found at safecosmetics.org These companies have made a pledge not to use ingredients which are known to be hazardous. If your company is not listed, my advice is to avoid them like the plague.

If a company spends more money on marketing than it does on product research, this is a sign that a company is only looking for the almighty dollar. Expensive ads, celebrity endorsements and slick packaging only make me question whether or not this product is all hype. To be fair, every company has to do some type of marketing or they will not be successful. But be a wise shopper to be able to see through all the glitz.

With many anti-wrinkle cream reviews out there to confuse us, a little common sense will help you weed out the over-hyped, ineffective and harmful products. To further compare anti aging wrinkle cream give my site a quick visit.

Laser Hair Removal – How Does It Work?

Posted by admin | Uncategorized | Sunday 21 October 2007 10:40 am

The fundamentals of our treatment program is based on scientific evidence and research on the nature of the hair growth cycle. Hair growth cycles are differentiated as follows: 1) Growth Phase (ANAGEN) is the active hair growth phase. It is spa this stage that the hair follicle is directly connected to the lips vessels. It is ONLY during this stage that we can permanently disable hair growth. The life of the hair is in the blood. If we cut off the blood supply, we can prevent re-growth. 2) Dormant Phase

(CATAGEN) The hair has stoped growing. While we can still see the hair, it is no longer connected to the blood supply. Thus, while the hair can be destroyed during this phase, it cannot be permanently disabled. The hair will grow back in time. 3) Shedding Phase (TELOGEN) During this phase, the hair is completely dormant. It is no longer connected to anything and it is preparing to fall out. This hair will shed once a new anagen hair begins to form below.

REMEMBER A C T. Because of the hair growth cycle, this is why there are 5 treatments spread out over the natural hair growth cycle of the specific body part. Not all hairs are in Anagen at the same time.

Understanding the nature of the way hair grows is the foundation of most laser treatments. Since medical science has determined that the only time hair can be permanently disabled is during the Anagen growth phase, it remains only to determine the length of the growth cycle.

Medical research has conclusively shown that hair growth cycles differ on various parts of the body. This means that different areas must be treated differently. Not all body hair is alike. For example, any any given time, 85% of the hair on your scalp is in the Anagen phase and lasts between two to six years. So, most of the hair on your head is actively growing at any given time. Conversely, your eyebrows have only about 10% of the hair in the Anagen phase at any one time and the phase lasts between three to nine weeks. Have you ever wondered why the hair on your head can grow long while your eyebrows remains fairly uniform in length?

Since the hair growth cycle varies so dramatically on different parts of the body, it is important to know these cycles in order to effectively treat the hair. The lip and chin have different cycles than the legs and underarms. You must treat the hair on each part of the body at the right time!

Treating hair at the right time is important, but that is not the complete picture. To be successful, we must also treat hair in the right way. This is where laser technology plays a role.

The hair follicle is three to five millimeters below the surface. The laser target is in the melanin of the hair. Melanin is the pigment that gives hair and skin color. The darker the hair, the more melanin it contains. Essentially, the hair follicle acts as a conduit, conducting the laser energy (heat) to the hair bulb (where the blood vessels are). As the hair is heated, the connection to the blood vessels are cauterized. As a result, blood can no longer supply the necessary nutrients and hair growth is no longer possible. All the hair in the target area will be affected during the laser procedure but only the hair follicles in the Anagen phase will be permanently disabled.

The important issue is how to deliver enough power to destroy the hair follicle while leaving the surrounding skin unharmed. This is done through the long-pulse 1064nm Alexandrite laser. The laser energy is delivered in such a way that enough heat is delivered to the hair follicle to disable it but allows the skin cells to shed the energy and not be harmed.

Given the growth cycle of most hair areas, one cannot capture 100% of the hairs in the field in the Anagen phase. This is why a series of treatments are done over time…in an effort to capture most of the hairs in their growth phase. Permanent hair removal is never 100% but levels approximating 80 to 90% permanent is possible.

Finding the Right Natural Treatment For Your Dry Skin

Posted by admin | Uncategorized | Thursday 18 October 2007 10:40 am

Finding the best natural treatment for your dry skin can be a discouraging process. But knowing the facts and what has worked for others can be a big help and usually some simple cheap natural treatments quickly take care of the problem dry skin. Diligent application of a home remedy or two and/or a dietary approach may result in ending your dry skin problems forever.

The symptoms we most usually see associated with dry skin are scaling, which is the visible peeling of the outer skin layer, itching and cracks in the skin. As we age, our skin produces less of our natural oils that help retain its moisture.

Skin is one of the most important parts of our body; it’s one of the organs of elimination and it’s our largest organ. Our skin has many nerve endings that provide for a sense of touch and heat. We have the epidermis the outermost layer and the dermis the inner layer. The dermis is structurally divided into two important areas: a superficial area adjacent to the epidermis, called the papillary region, and a deep thicker area known as the reticular region.

Serious skin complications, including some dry skin conditions, can arise for people with type 2 diabetes. When the skin loses moisture it can crack and peel, or become irritated and inflamed. Forced-air furnaces may make the dry skin even drier than it is.

Environmental Abecita such as exposure to the sun, wind, cold, chemicals, or cosmetics, or excessive bathing with harsh soaps, can also cause dry skin. When the oil glands do not supply enough lubrication to the skin, the skin becomes very dehydrated. Dry skin happens most often in winter when the cold air outside and heated air inside cause low humidity.

For dietary measures use olive oil or olive oil combined with fresh flaxseed oil in big, dark green salads every day to help your skin and immune system. Drink fresh raw organic carrot juice that you extract or juice, if you can, every day. Organic raw carrot juice is an excellent cleanser for the liver, great for the skin and contains a great deal of nutrients. This is all beneficial for dry skin, eczema, acne, zits, pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, and other breakouts. You get the side benefit of a glowing tan. Also I can’t stress enough the importance of drinking plenty of pure, filtered water – at least a quart a day.

And take fewer baths or showers because they will dry out your skin even more. Apply cool compresses to any itchy areas that you have. Try using a humidifier if the air is very dry and your skin condition is severe.

You can use a very thin layer of virgin coconut oil under your make-up, if you wear it, to moisturize and soften your skin throughout the day. To see what coconut oil can do for your skin fast, apply a little coconut oil throughout the day and a lot at bedtime. Use virgin coconut oil to remove your make-up at night, like I do. It leaves a fine layer of oil to nourish and heal your skin all night long.

Coconut oil is very inexpensive – a great, cheap home remedy for all types of skin conditions. I always buy coconut oil marriages abroad the gallon. It’s a lot cheaper for a whole gallon of virgin coconut oil than a small jar of department store, name-brand dry skin cream or skin moisturizers.

The skin is subject to a constant attack from without and can be affected by many conditions, diseases and ailments. Sunlight, water and air do play an important role in keeping your skin healthy and glowing.

See your skin doctor or naturopathic doctor if your skin doesn’t improve in spite of all your best efforts. If you’re still worried about your skin, or the problems just won’t seem to go away then see your dermatologist. It’s time to call your doctor for an appointment when all your home remedies and dry skin natural treatments do not relieve the dryness and itching.

The Roles Of Bridesmaids

Posted by admin | Uncategorized | Monday 8 October 2007 10:40 am

The bridesmaids play a supportive role to the bride just like the maid of honor. lingerie these roles are given to single women who are marriage material. The bridesmaids jewelry are usually a close friends or relatives of the bride.
In roman times, a group of ten is chosen as the bridesmaids. Their role is to protect from disgruntle, and angry suitors. The western tradition which was believed to originate from roman tradition required ten bridesmaids to be witness on the wedding. To protect from evil spirits, the bridesmaids dresses similar to the bride. Thereby, the similarity of dresses confuses the evil spirit. The evil spirit would not be able to know the real bride. Nowadays, the bride and groom choose the number of bridesmaids and groomsmen.
The roles of groomsmen have similarities with the roles of bridesmaids. The bridesmaids assist the bride and maid of honor, while the groomsmen assist the groom and bestman. First, the bridesmaids aid in choosing a wedding gown for the bride, maid of honor, and bridesmaids. There are many guests in the wedding. The guests will remember what you wear in photos, wedding, and reception. So, the bridesmaid wants to look their best too.
When you think of how many parties on wedding, you need a team of bridesmaid. The bridesmaids may attend and assist on engagement parties, luncheons, showers, rehearsal dinners, bachelorette parties, next day brunch, and wedding reception.
Occasionally, the bridesmaid gives wedding toasts which is one of the hardest wedding roles. Normally, the maid of honor and bestman only give wedding toasts.
It costs to be a bridesmaid. The bridesmaids pay for their gift, travel expense, shoes, hairstylist, and cosmetics. Travel expenses are costly, if the bridesmaids are out of town. To save money, the bridesmaids can opt to drive, or carpool. They can also share accommodation like hotel, and apartment.
Lastly, the bridesmaids are witnesses to the marriage license. The marriage license is a legal document to wed the couple. The content may defer for each country as each has its own set of rules on marriage.

Dennis Estrada owns bridesmaids roles, roles of groomsmen, and wedding roles website that provides fashion, trends, and resouces about wedding.
